Does Nancy peolsi actually miss him?
The House Democratic leader made the admission Sunday during an appearance on ABC News’ “This Week” when she accidentally referred to President Donald Trump as “President Bush” during a discussion with show host Jonathan Karl about Trump’s first 100 days as president. Now she knows how many felt during the Obama years...
Karl had just asked Pelosi how, if Democrats re-take the House in next year’s mid-term election, Democrats would work with Trump’s White House, which is fundamentally at odds with the Democratic agenda. Karl said Pelosi and the Democrats appear to be the “party of no” as of late, but Pelosi disagreed.
“I see everything as an opportunity. And I’ve never have seen so much willingness to help win. And winning means winning for the American people, that either we win or whoever wins understands the priorities of the American people,” Pelosi said.
That’s when Pelosi began to say the priorities of Trump aren’t the priorities of the American people. Instead, she accidentally said “President Bush,” referring to former President George W. Bush, who she worked with as Speaker of the House in 2007 and 2008.
“And they are not the President Bush—” Pelosi said.
Realizing her verbal error, Pelosi put her hand over her heart and exclaimed: “I’m so sorry, President Bush! I never thought I’d pray for the day that you were president again!”
