Moore Versus Trump
It’s called “Fahrenheit 11/9” — a reference not only to Moore’s previous flick “Fahrenheit 9/11” but also to Nov. 9, 2016, the date Trump’s win over Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton became official.Fake documentary time?
“I’m making a movie to get us out of this mess,” Moore said on Facebook of his newest project. “I’ve f***ing had it.”
Moore said in a statement that “filming has been done under a strict cloak of secrecy and is expected to be key in dissolving Trump’s ‘teflon’ shield and, in turn, his presidency,” EW.com reported.
But believe it or not, the filmmaker — who’s been among the loudest and most frequent opponents of Trump among the Hollywood elite — also acknowledged Trump’s famous staying power.
“No matter what you throw at him, it hasn’t worked,” Moore said of the president. “No matter what is revealed, he remains standing. Facts, reality, brains cannot defeat him. Even when he commits a self-inflicted wound, he gets up the next morning and keeps going and tweeting. That all ends with this movie.”
